 check all attributes about a drive sudo smartctl -i /dev/sdX -a 
 
 
 megaraid controllers (LSI something) sudo smartctl -d megaraid,X -i /dev/sda -a 
The drive polled ( /dev/sda ) doesn't seem to make a difference here
